WASHINGTON, D.C., February 15, 2021 – With a general election looming on the political horizon, the Opposition Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) has obviously stepped up its campaign to regain control of the government of The Bahamas with the release of a very effective, powerful promotional video featuring Opposition Leader Philip “Brave” Davis that I really had to share with readers of BAHAMAS CHRONICLE.
Declaring at the beginning of the video that “there is a lot pain in The Bahamas right now,” Mr. Davis utilizes the considerable skills he developed over years as a prominent Bahamian lawyer to expand on his gripping message by proclaiming that “too many people are feeling forgotten and feeling ignored” and discussing his humble beginning as the son of a taxi driver and a maid and the grandson of “subsistence farmers on Cat Island who could not read or write” but taught him the “power of faith and love.”
The video is very professionally produced, strongly suggesting that the PLP has “loosened the strings” on its promotional budget, a supposition that encouraged me to again formally request that officials of the PLP consider using the services provided by THE BROWN AGENCY LLC and my online publication BAHAMAS CHRONICLE to assist them during their campaign. Of course, maintaining BAHAMAS CHRONICLE’S respect journalistically as an unbiased news medium is very important to me, so this offer is also open to all candidates in the upcoming general election.
