NASSAU, Bahamas, August 12, 2024 — Last week The Bahamas was honored to host, for the first time, the Airports Conference of the Americas, that brought together over 150 airport and aviation executives from across Latin America, The Bahamas, The United States, Canada, The United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East, Turks and Caicos, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean.
This premier aviation event, held at Bahamar Resort in Nassau, August 4-7, 2024 included keynote speaker sessions, panel discussions, networking opportunities, sharing of best practices, a tour of historic Nassau, an immersive tour of the Lynden Pindling International Airport and climaxed with a Bahamas Fun Night hosted by The Bahamas Department of Aviation.
Expressing thanks to “all for making this historic event a success,” Dr. Kenneth Romer, Deputy Director General & Acting Director of Aviation in The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, said in a post on Facebook today, “This premier aviation event, held at Bahamar Resort in Nassau, August 4-7, 2024 included keynote speaker sessions, panel discussions, networking opportunities, sharing of best practices, a tour of historic Nassau, an immersive tour of the Lynden Pindling International Airport and climaxed with a Bahamas Fun Night hosted by The Bahamas Department of Aviation.”
He added, “The Airports Conference of the Americas is presented by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), the South Central Chapter AAAE, and the International Association of Airport Executives (IAAE), and was held in close collaboration with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).”
