50TH  INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY TEA PARTY ANOTHER “STELLAR EVENT”

Pia T. Glover-Rolle with Dame Marguerite Pindling, former Bahamas Governor-General

NASSAU, Bahamas – MP for Golden Gates Pia T. Glover-Rolle, Minister of State for Public Service, posted a collection of photos on Facebook on Monday, June 12, and we decided to share some of them with readers of BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among Bahamians in the diaspora across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and, of course, The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean. The photos were posted with the following narrative:

“I was honored to share my Sunday afternoon with such a great gathering of women, as we continued celebrating our 50th Independence Anniversary with a Tea Party under the patronage of First Lady Anne Marie Davis.

This tea party served as a testament to the enduring power of love, strength, and a tribute to the journey taken together as Bahamian women.

Over the past half-century, The Bahamas has weathered ups and downs with grace, resilience and unwavering dedication to her citizen. As we raised our teacups in a toast to this remarkable milestone, we have to salute Bahamian women for embodiment of these same achievements and characteristics.

I extend Congratulations to Her Excellency Hon. Leslia Miller-Brice and the 50th Independence Secretariat for another stellar event.”
