KEEPSAKE HISTORICAL PHOTO: Renowned Bahamian photographer Derek W. Smith, who quite rightly describes himself as a “visual historian,” posted this photo on Facebook on Saturday, August 3, 2024, and I decided to add it to my collection of photos as a keepsake photo because of its obvious historical value and to again encourage Derek, with whom I worked when I was Editor of The Nassau Guardian (1998 — 2002) to publish a collection of his memorable photos in a book. I would be more than pleased to collaborate with Derek on narrative to accompany the photos.
What makes this photo even more historical is the fact that all three of these eventual Prime Ministers were working lawyers with the Christie & Ingraham former law firm. Derek posted this photograph with the following narrative:
