GUEST COMMENTARY: BY DR. PATRICE J. PINDER

(EDITOR’S NOTE: Noted Bahamian educator Dr. Patrice J. Pinder sent me this information  by email that I decided to share with readers of BAHAMAS CHRONICLE as a Guest Commentary.”

NASSAU, Bahamas, February 7, 2022 –Dear fellow educators, administrators, and the public:

It is my pleasure to invite you and/or your staff to be a part of the Bahamas’ “242 Bringing Back  Excellence in Education Campaign” to be held the week of March 14–18, 2022. The event will  be primarily virtual and will have a dual focus: “Excellence in Education” and “I Love Learning”  Bahamas Initiatives/Drives. This event is free to the public and I am urging all pre K–12 schools to  partner with me on this event. Thus, all preschools, primary and secondary schools, both public  and private schools throughout the archipelago of the Bahamas are encouraged to take part in  this very positive 2022 educational campaign.

DR. PATRICE J. PINDER

To be a part of this event, I am simply requesting that participating schools post approved written stories or videos to the media platform(s) of their choice highlighting either entire  school, teacher(s’), or student(s’) success stories, which will document or show (to us the general  Bahamian public) what your school is doing well or excelling in. Thus, we will be learning from  each other’s successes—we will learn what is working and what can work best in the Bahamian  education system while at the same time we will be celebrating the successes of others among  us.

The “242 Bringing Back Excellence in Education Campaign” and accompanying “I Love Learning”  drives will be led and facilitated by me, Dr. Patrice Juliet Pinder (a Bahamian world-class  educational expert and a trailblazer in STEM education within the Bahamas). Additionally, as a  part of this week of activities, I will be available to answer questions from the public. I will be  available on Thursday, March 17 to answer questions and to provide some solutions to the issues and concerns expressed by the public. So persons wanting to chat with me can feel free  to do so by telephone or email: 1-242-468-9009 or dr.patricepinder@gmail.com. I look forward  to your participation and you partnering with me. Thank you!

Kind regards,

Dr. Patrice J. Pinder.
