WASHINGTON, D.C., July 30, 2024– H.E. Hilda Suka-Mafudze, Permanent Representative of the African Union Mission to the United States of America, today paid a courtesy call on H.E. Wendall Jones, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the recent 2024 African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) Annual Meetings hosted by the Government of The Bahamas in Nassau from June 12 – 14 and its significance to the promotion and advancement of African-Caribbean relations.

Ambassadors Jones and Suka-Mafudze also discussed the commonly shared historical and cultural ties between Africa and the Caribbean, as well as ways to further strengthen partnerships for economic prosperity and a sustainable future.
