WASHINGTON, D.C., June 18, 2019 — His Excellency Sidney Collie, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States and Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS), along with other CARICOM Ambassadors and Alternates, met with leaders of the U.S. Insurance Industry at The Department of State on Monday, June 17, 2019. Topics of discussion included catastrophe insurance gaps, natural disaster and climate resilience in the face of increasing hurricanes in the Caribbean region. Also in attendance were representatives from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) . The discussion was conducted under the auspices of Deputy Secretary of State John J.
