NASSAU, Bahamas, May 27, 2021 – His Excellency Sidney Collie, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States and Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS), who is on home leave back in The Bahamas, today paid courtesy calls on two ministers of the government.
On his Facebook page, Ambassador Collie posted photos of his courtesy calls on the Hon. Jeffrey Lloyd, Minister of Education, and the Hon. Michael Pintard, Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources, with the following narrative:
“Last day of HOME LEAVE and final courtesy calls on two ministers of The government: The Hon. Michael Pintard, Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources, where we discussed the impact of the pandemic on The Bahamas supply chain, food security, and the various methods of modern farming, including backyard farming among other matters.
AND The Hon. Jeffrey Lloyd, Minister of Education, where we discussed the impact of the pandemic on the delivery of education on the nation’s children, including Early Childhood education, Digitization, Technical and vocational education, Teachers Training into technology and the plan for in-person education during the new school year, among other matters. Back to my post in Washington, D.C. on Saturday 29th May. All-in-all home leave turned out to be a good mixture of official duty and family time with a little rest and relaxation.”
