WASHINGTON, D.C.- His Excellency Sidney Collie, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States and Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States(OAS), presented the copie d’usage of letters of credence to His Excellency Ambassador Esteban Moctezuma, Ambassador of Mexico, in a brief ceremony at the Mexican Cultural Institute on Thursday , May 6, 2021.
After the presentation, both Ambassadors engaged in a bilateral conversation about matters of mutual interest, including COVID-19, strengthening of trade relations between Mexico and The Bahamas and Mexico’s candidature for the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR).
Ambassador Collie also took the opportunity to personally thank the government of Mexico for their generous contributions to The Bahamas in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian in 2019.
