WASHINGTON, D.C., Sept. 13, 2022 – His Excellency Wendall Jones, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States, was among the specially invited guests at The White House on Tuesday, September 13, at ceremonies in the Rose Garden celebrating the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act.

Scores of American officials, including members of President Biden’s Cabinet and members of Congress, joined the President  in celebrating passage of the landmark legislation.

In his remarks, the President said that “after years of determined effort, the law now brings about lower prescription drug costs, lower health insurance costs and aggressive action to confront the climate crisis.”

The Inflation Reduction Act,  which  has  significant tax, energy and healthcare implications, was signed into law by President Biden on August 16, 2022. It represents “the most significant climate investment in U.S. history, but it also paves the way for a massive expansion of oil and gas drilling on federal lands and in federal waters,” according to information gleaned from the Internet.
