AMBASSADOR JONES EXHIBITS ART AT OAS

WASHINGTON., D.C., January 18, 2023 — Ambassadors  accredited to the Organization of American States (OAS), other members of the diplomatic corps and Art enthusiasts in Washington, D.C . got a treat today as they were able to view a large collection of paintings by their colleague, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States His Excellency Wendall Jones.

 The OAS staged the exhibition  in the Marcus Garvey Hall and the Caribbean delegates lounge after a speech delivered to the Permanent Council by Prime Minister of the Bahamas, the Hon. Philip E. Davis. 

The exhibition, held under the theme “When the spirit speaks”, came about at the invitation of  OAS Secretary General Luis Almagro, who  was impressed by a number of paintings by Ambassador Jones that were displayed in the Embassy  of The Bahamas.

The 21 paintings by Ambassador Jones at the OAS include works of pointillism, landscapes and Junkanoo.
