WASHINGTON, D.C., Oct. 5, 2022 – His Excellency Wendall Jones, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States, in keeping with one of his duties to develop relationships for investment in The Bahamas, on Wednesday, October 5, held a meeting with partners of the U.S law firm Becker and Poliakoff, who have expressed interest in business opportunities with The Bahamas.
Participating in the meeting with Ambassador Jones were Omar Franco, Senior Director of the firm’s Washington office; Attorney Yolanda Cash Jackson, a Bahamian descendant from the Miami office; and Chris Bernardino, Senior International and Government Relations Director of Becker’s Washington office.
Omar Franco heads Becker’s Federal Lobbying Practice in Washington, D.C. He currently represents a wide variety of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, higher education institutions, trade associations, non-profit organizations, and municipal governments. In 2020, Franco was named a “Top Lobbyist” by the National Institute of Lobbying & Ethics (NILE).
Yolanda Cash Jackson is an experienced Government Law attorney who has established a strong reputation in the Miami community for her leadership and commitment to civic, charitable and professional organizations. She concentrates her practice in the area of Governmental Relations and has developed a proficiency in state government funding and appropriations. Ms.
Ms. Jackson was elected to Becker’s Management Committee in 2010 and has excellent working relationships with several of the state of Florida’s leading elected officials and policymakers.
Chris Berardini is a Senior International and Government Relations Director in Becker’s Federal Lobbying Practice. With over 13 years as a Chief of Staff in the United States Congress, Mr. Berardini brings clients an extensive level of experience in and the knowledge of the inner workings of Capitol Hill.
While serving on Capitol Hill, he maintained a robust legislative portfolio, including Foreign Affairs, Financial Services, FinTech, Insurance, Housing, Tax, International Trade, Energy and Environment, Appropriations, Commerce, Transportation and Infrastructure, Agriculture and Organized Labor.
