WASHINGTON, D.C., Nov. 26, 2022 – EDITOR’S NOTE: We absolutely had to share this historic classic photo with readers of BAHAMAS CHRONICILE that was taken on November 23, 2022, at a joint sitting of the Bahamas House of Assembly and the Senate celebrating the 60th Anniversary of women voting for first time in The Bahamas.

Seen seated from left to right are: Dame Margueritte Pindling, former Governor-General of The Bahamas;  Mrs. Ann-Marie Davis, wife of Prime Minister Philip E. Davis; Mrs. Deloris Ingraham, wife of former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham; Mrs. Patricia Minnis, wife of former Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis; and Sharon Lady Wilson, who previously served as a Magistrate and was the second female to serve as President of the Bahamas Senate. Lady Wilson recently was appointed Bahamas Ambassador to the United Mexican States.
