ANOTHER “AMAZING DAY” IN NASSAU FOR ADAIR WHITE JOHNSON

Adair White Johnson with her childhood friend “FiFi”

WASHINGTON, D.C. —  Adair White-Johnson, who is currently visiting Nassau, Bahamas, for that country’s 50th independence anniversary celebrations,  posted a collection of photos on Facebook on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, and I decided to share some of them with readers of BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.

Adair is the daughter of the late renowned Bahamian journalist P. Anthony White and is President of the Johnson Tribe Publishing Company, based in Atlanta, Georgia. Her late father and I were very close  friends from we were both young journalists, and I consider her to be “adopted niece” ever since I met her for the first time in 2017 when she assisted me with the publication of my novel WOES OF LIFE. Adair posted the photos with the following narrative:

“Today was another amazing day! I spent it with my childhood friend “FiFi”, whom I had not seen since I was 10 years old.

I had no idea that FiFi and her family lived in the same house that I knew as a child! When I walked in the yard a gush of memories came flooding in. It was amazing to see her mom, brother, and sisters.

It’s always amazing to talk to people who knew me as a child — it warms my heart.

We went to Paradise Island and had lunch and a swim at The Ocean Club with a breathtaking view.

My ol’ man said he wasn’t foolin’ with me today — said he was hangin’ with my brother in love.”
