NASSAU, Bahamas, November 11, 2023 – A strategic plan for the Department of Aviation that was first introduced by the government earlier this year is now being unveiled.
Dr. Kenneth Romer, Director of Aviation and Deputy Director General of Tourism, says the strategic plan has several goals, one of which is to improve infrastructure and development. Then there’s enhancing strategic partnerships and engagement.
A number of new direct flights have emerged from new destinations. Jet Blue’s direct from Los Angeles to Nassau is the latest among them.
Dr. Romer says that while these international flights are important, local airlines are also major players.
