FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, February 23, 2024 — The 2024 Cohort of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) is officially underway in Grand Bahama. The fourth week of the program closed out on February 21 at the Sir Charles Hayward Library in Freeport, the United States Embassy revealed in a post on Facebook.
More than 50 dynamic women are coming together weekly to learn and discuss ways to network and be better equipped for their entrepreneurial journey. The AWE program is a partnership between U.S. Embassy Nassau and Access Accelerator, Small Business Development Centre Bahamas.
“Throughout the exciting 17-week program, we will follow along with the women to track their progress as they learn best practices from some of the leading women entrepreneurs on the island who are serving as their facilitators. For these female entrepreneurs, we know that the best is yet to come,” the U.S. Embassy post noted.
