BAHAMAS 51ST INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY FESTVITIES HELD IN PHILADELPHIA

Bahamas Consul General to New York Leroy F. Major speaking at the Bahamas 51 st Independence celebrations on Saturday.

NEW YORK, N.Y., .July 16, 2024 — The Hon. Leroy F. Major, Bahamas Consul General in New York, and Consulate staff members joined the Bahamas Philadelphia Foundation for The Bahamas’ 51st Anniversary of Independence festivities hosted by its president, Remy Duncombe, on Saturday, July 13.

Guests at the “backyard meet-up” were treated to a down-home fish fry, good old Bahamian rake n’ scrape and, dined on Bahamian dishes and played trivia games. Later on, guests were treated to a performance by Bahamian singer Julien Believe to close out the event.
