BAHAMAS CONSUL GENERAL TO NEW YORK THANKS STUDENTS FOR HURRICANE DORIAN RELIEF DONATIONS

NEW YORK – The Hon. Lawrence Cartwright, Bahamas Consul General to New York —  along with Consul Joy A. Newbold and staff of The Bahamas Consulate General New York — surprised the seven young men and 7th grade students at Sacred Heart School, Hartsdale, New York, during a visit to the school  on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 “for their kind donations to the people of The Bahamas during the Hurricane Dorian Relief Efforts in September.

Announcing this on its Facebook page on Friday, November 8, the Bahamas Consulate in New York noted: “The lead organizer Chris DeLucci, along with six of his classmates — Vinny Spillane, Connor Librandi, Lucas Bragaglia, Joseph Brown, Joseph O’Sullivan and Andrew Cook — collected and donated emergency supplies to BCGNY for those affected by Hurricane Dorian in the Abacos and Grand Bahama, The Bahamas. Consul General Cartwright thanked Chris and his team for their generosity in time and gifts given. He encouraged them to continue to put others before themselves.”
