BAHAMAS FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER MITCHELL SPEAKS AT OAS

WASHINGTON, D.C., January 20, 2024 – Bahamas Minister of Foreign Affairs Fred Mitchell delivered the final report on the OAS Electoral Observation Mission deployed in The Bahamas for the general election of September 16, 2021 when he  spoke at the regular meeting of  the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) on Wednesday, January 17.

On Thursday, January 18, Mr. Mitchell met with Stephen Benjamin, former Mayor of Columbia, South Carolina, who is now Director of Public Engagement for President Biden’s website. He was accompanied by His Excellency Wendall Jones, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States, and they discussed interests common to both countries.
