BAHAMAS GOVERNMENT SIGNS HEADS OF AGREEMENT FOR DEVELOPMENT OF JACK’S BAY IN SOUTH ELEUTHERA

NASSAU, Bahamas, September 4, 2020 — The Government of The Bahamas today signed a Heads of Agreement with Eleuthera Properties Ltd. for the development of the Jack’s Bay resort, golf course and marina project at South Eleuthera.

“With the Jack’s Bay project, the Disney project and other developments on the horizon, Eleuthera, including South Eleuthera, is about to go through an economic renaissance,” said Prime Minister the Hon. Dr. Hubert Minnis at the agreement signing ceremony held at the Cabinet Office. “This project, along with others, will help our national economic recovery, post the COVID-19 pandemic. This project has been a long time in the making and is a unique Bahamian experience, including Bahamian ownership and team of mostly Bahamian managers.”

Eleuthera Properties has already invested $100 million for acquisition of land and project development, according to the developers.

Sir Franklyn Wilson and Mr. O.A. T. ‘Tommy’ Turnquest represented Eleuthera Properties Ltd.
