BAHAMAS HONOURED TO HAVE  BEEN RE-ELECTED TO CATEGORY “C” OF IMO COUNCIL, GREENSLADE SAYS

LONDON, England, November 30, 2019 – His Excellency Ellison Greenslade, QPM, Bahamas High Commissioner to Great Britain and Northern Ireland, has posted a collage of four photos with the following caption:

“The Bahamas is honoured to have been re-elected to Category “C” of the #IMO Council. Grateful to all Member States that supported us. Congrats to Bahamas’ delegation which was led by Hon Renward Wells, Minister of Transport & Local Gov, & all Mbrs of our team.”

The 31st session of the IMO Assembly is currently taking place at IMO Headquarters in London from November 25 to December 4. The IMO Assembly, the organization’s highest governing body, meets every two years and “is responsible for approving the Organization’s work programme and budget for the next two years and electing the 40-Member Council, as well as considering substantive issues emanating from the Organization’s Council and five Committees,” according to the IMO’s website.
