NASSAU, Bahamas, May 17, 2023 – Ricardo P. Deveaux, Deputy Permanent Secretary at The Ministry of Education & Technical & Vocational Training, who is also  President/CEO of  The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation, posted a photo on Facebook taken during a courtesy call by executives of the foundation on Governor General C.A. Smith that we decided to share with readers of BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and, of course, The Bahama and the wider Caribbean.  Mr. Deveaux posted the photo with the following narrative:

“The Executives of The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation paid a courtesy call on His Excellency The Governor-General Sir Cornelius A. Smith on Monday, May 15th, 2023. The President and Executives came to update The Governor-General on the 2023 Awards Program plans and to introduce the outgoing Student of the Year 2022 Jerlea Adderley.

The 2023 Student of the Year Awards Program will honour 123 of the BEST and BRIGHTEST primary school students from 14 islands. These students are competing for the National Student of the Year Title.

Jerlea Adderley presented the Governor-General with the 2022 Student of the Year Booklet.”
