WASHINGTON, D.C., November 8, 2023 – Bahamas Prime Minister Philip E. Davis officially opened the state-of-the-art Western Road campus of King’s College School in New Providence, Bahamas, during a brief ceremony at the school on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

In a post on Facebook that accompanied a collection of photos, the Office of the Prime Minister stated:

“This week, at the Official Grand Opening of King’s College School in The Bahamas, we celebrated the expansion of quality education in our country with the inauguration of this institution, connected to a global network.

King’s College School envisions academic growth and a more significant global network built through cultural exchanges, giving way to an array of learning experiences for all students, including our Bahamian scholars.

Soon, Family Island students will be able to thrive as boarding students, gaining an invaluable global perspective reflecting our vision of a united, empowered Bahamas where education knows no bounds.

With a focus on academics, sports, and performing and creative arts, this institution is not just about education; it’s about nurturing well-rounded individuals poised to lead and innovate in a changing world.

We welcome King’s College School to The Bahamas to provide a world-class education. Here’s to the leaders, thinkers, and innovators of tomorrow!”

I decided to share some of the photos with readers of my online publication, BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.
