MEDELLIN, Colombia, March 15, 2022 — In an ongoing effort to promote The Bahamas throughout Latin America, the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism has organized a Bahamas Road Show and has invited Industry Partners — including the Grand Bahama Island Promotion Board – to participate.
Included in the group is Carmel Churchill, co-owner of DonCar Hospitality Management Services, Marketing Consultants for the Promotion Board, and Steven Johnson, General Manager BMOTIA Grand Bahama Office.
The main objective of the trip is to expose The Bahamas destination and product offerings to 300-plus travel agents, tour operators and selected media outlets in three cities within Colombia, while educating the agents on The Bahamas, facilitating the sales process.
The Road Show offers The Bahamas partners the opportunity to showcase their product in front of top tier travel agents and connect with the top sellers in the region in countries where most service providers have not had the opportunity to visit.
Additionally, The Bahamas partners will also have the opportunity to meet with Tour Operators in these cities.
The presence of The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism delegation, together with The Bahamas partners, will motivate the agents and tour operators to sell our tourism product as a result of the additional product knowledge, networking, and forged relationships.
The events are taking place in the format of a Destination Presentation during breakfast or lunch, followed by a Marketplace, where The Bahamas partners and the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with agents and answer any questions they might have.
The Mission is led by Giovanni Grant, General Manager, Multi Destinations, Bahamas Ministry of Tourism & Aviation.
