BAHAMAS TO HOST 2025 CANTO CONFERENCE AND TRADE EXHIBITION

MIAMI, Florida, July 8, 2024 — The Bahamas will be the official host destination for the 2025 CANTO Conference and Trade Exhibition, Bahamas Prime Minister Phillip E. Davis announced today as he delivered the keynote address at the 2024 CANTO conference currently being held at the JW Marriot Turnberry Resort & Spa in Miami from July 7 – July 10.

In announcing that The Bahamas will host CANTO 2025, the Prime Minister unveiled a bold vision for the digital future of The Bahamas as he highlighted the  nation’s leadership in digital innovation, including the launch of the “Sand Dollar” and the push for AI regulation. He noted that The Bahamas is committed to enhancing digital literacy and invited global partners to join in building a digitally inclusive Caribbean.

CANTO’s 40th Annual Conference & Trade Exhibition, which will be held in July 2025 at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, is expected to attract 800 to 1,000 delegates from across the Caribbean, including government officials from respective countries.

Conference speakers will include some of the telecommunications industry’s renowned leaders from well-established companies regionally and internationally. This milestone event is anticipated to generate a Return On Investment (ROI) of $1.29 million to the Bahamian economy.
