WASHINGTON, D.C., Oct. 31, 2022 – Bahamas Honorary Consul in Chicago Michael C. Fountain, on his Facebook page on Sunday, October 30, expressed thanks to the Ferrari Club of America Central States Region Secretary Lawrence Pagliaro and Executive Board member Neil Osgood for support of the first Bahamas Consulate Chicago partnership with Ferrari.”
The Honorary Bahamas Consulate in Chicago was a “lanyard sponsor” of the 24th Annual Festa Ferrari held on September 11, 2022, and in his “thank you post” Mr. Fountain said, “We look forward to returning for the 25th Annual Festa Ferrari in 2023.”
Lanyard sponsorship is described on the Internet as “terrific marketing opportunity that places your brand at the forefront of the event.”
“I am building new partnerships which I hope to leverage for The Bahamas’ 50th Independence activities here in Chicago in 2023,” Mr. Fountain said, in an email interview.
Earlier this year, on March 6, the Bahamas Honorary Consulate in Chicago celebrated its seventh years as the first fully accredited diplomatic post representing the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in the Midwestern United States.
Although the Bahamas consulate in Chicago was accredited on March 6, 2014, Mr. Fountain was officially introduced as The Bahamas honorary consul to the Chicago community by the then Foreign Affairs and Immigration Minister Fred Mitchell at a reception in Chicago on Friday, September 5, 2014.
The states served by Mr. Fountain include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North and South Dakota and Wisconsin.
