BAHAMIAN IS NEW HOTEL MANAGER OF FOUR SEASONS IN D.C.

Kristen Whyly became the new General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C. on July 10, 2018.

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 23, 2018 — A Bahamian is the new Hotel Manager of the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel in the historic Georgetown area of Washington, D.C., effective July 10, 2018

Kristen Whyly, son of Frederick and Valerie Whyly, became Hotel Manager of the upscale D.C. hotel two weeks ago, after having worked for the Four Seasons Hotel Company for 10 Years, including two years as Housing Manager at Four Seasons in Exuma, which is now Sandals Resort.

Kristen’s parents currently live in Abaco, but they previously lived in Nassau on Fourth Terrace East, where Kristen and his Sister Kelli-Ann Sands grew up. He attended Bahamas Academy and continued his education at Northern Caribbean University in Jamaica; University of Surrey, London; and  Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee. He has a Business Management degree, with a Concentration in Economics, and an International Business Degree.

After his two -year stint at Four Seasons Exuma, Kristen subsequently worked at Four Seasons, Koh Samui, Thailand, as Residence Manager; Four Seasons, Bangkok, Thailand, Front Office Manager; Four Seasons, Maui, Hawaii,  Assistant Director of Rooms; and Four Seasons, Ko Olina, Hawaii, Director of Rooms/Resort Manager, before being appointed to his current position as Hotel Manager of Four Seasons Washington DC.

Located at 2800 Pennsylvania Avenue N.W.,  Four Seasons Hotel Washington “offers unparalleled access to D.C.’s inspiring monuments and historic sites as well as the eclectic charm of upscale shops, restaurants and galleries,” according to its website.

The “classic luxury” hotel was built in 1979 and has 196 rooms and 30 suites.
