BROOKLYN, N.Y., —The Hon. Leroy F. Major, Bahamas Consul General to New York, joined The Alliance for Global Cooperation and the Board of Directors of the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council on Monday, October 2, 2023, at an event celebrating the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

Held in a temporary structure known as a Succah, the event brought together families, friends and communities during Fall Harvest Week (September 30 to October 8) to commemorate the 40 years Jews spent in the desert after escaping slavery in Egypt. It featured Chasidic music and dance that spilled out into the streets

Consul General Major participated in the holiday event, which featured Chasidic music and dance that spilled out onto the streets, along with other Consuls General, Ambassadors, and elected officials.
