GUEST COMMENTARY: BY ANNETTE SEYMOUR
(EDITOR’S NOTE: Annette Seymour, who lives in Freeport, Grand Bahama, frequently posts some powerful “messages” on Facebook. This morning’s post really arrested my attention, so much so that — although it’s short — I decided to share it as a Guest Commentary with readers of my online publication, BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.)
FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, Sept. 30, 2023 – Good morning, Family & Friends! As we walk out this day, may faith, hope, trust, and belief spur us on as they walk with us. In spite of all that’s going on around us, may we begin to see our setbacks as temporary, our delays as detours, and our heartbreaks as opportunities to experience God’s healing power.
The times we’re in are not a surprise to God. He not only saw what was coming before it came, he positioned us on the earth for such a time as this. Be assured that God is near and he’s right beside us. His right hand is upholding us and never will he let us go.
May our heart of faith help us see with supernatural insight so that we won’t be deceived by the enemy of our soul or by our fears of the future. Right here, in this place may our divine perspective hugely inspire our faith steps.
Be encouraged and know that better days are coming. He who holds our future also holds our hand.
Gripped by faith,
Annette Seymour
