BRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER SARAH DICKSON PARTICIPATES IN REMEMBRANCE DAY ACTIVITIES IN NASSAU

NASSAU, Bahamas, November 10, 2019 — Her Excellency Sarah Dickson, British High Commissioner to The Bahamas, participated in Remembrance Sunday in Nassau, Bahamas, on Sunday, November 10, 2019. In a tweet on the High Commission’s website, Mrs. Dickson stated: “Always an honour to represent the UK 🇬🇧 on Remembrance Sunday. Recognising Bahamian 🇧🇸service personnel #LestWeForget.”

The British High Commission reopened in Nassau in August. Mrs. Dickson succeeded the non-resident High Commissioner Mr. Asif Ahmad, CMG, based in Jamaica

Peter Young was the last resident British High Commissioner to The Bahamas, having served from 1996 to 1999, when the high commission was transferred to Jamaica.

Mrs. Dickson previously served as ambassador to Guatemala and non-resident ambassador to Honduras. Prior to that, she served as the British Embassy’s chief of staff in Madrid, Spain.
