BTVI SIGNS CONTRACT TO BUILD  A SATELITE CAMPUS IN MARSH HARBOUR, ABACO

MARSH HARBOUR, Abaco –Bahamas Technical & Vocational Institute (BTVI) this week signed a contract for the Establishment of a new Campus. In Marsh Harbour

In a post on Facebook that accompanied a collection of photos, the Hon. Zane Lightbourne, MP for Yamacraw and Minister of State for Education, Technical and Vocational Training;  said he is “indeed proud of this milestone as we fulfill our ongoing mandate as outlined in the government’s blueprint for change.”

“As an institution, we will continue to encourage Bahamians to discover a the possibilities with a BTVI education. The new campus will offer Construction Technology, Information Technology, Business and Beauty and Fashion,” Lightbourne said.

He added: “We continue our mandate to make trade schools more accessible and inexpensive, reposition and re-energize BTVI as a regional leader in training, in partnership with international institutions and bring together trades and technology with the creation of a Center for the Built Environment that promotes sustainable building practices, environmental stewardship, and collaborative learning. :

At the signing were BTVI Board Directors and Executive Management, Member of Parliament for Central and South Abaco John H.W. Pinder, District Superintendent Chester Cooper, Local Government Representatives, members of the Business Community and other supporters.

Additionally, as part of a Social Corporate Responsibility and a new partner BTVI also donated to the Construction Supplies to Patrick J. Bethel High School.
