BELINDA WILSON, President of BUT
NASSAU, Bahamas — With less than two weeks before pub- lic schools open, Bahamas Union of Teachers (BUT) President Belinda Wilson said yesterday the relationship between the union and education offi- cials remains strained.
“My major challenge and problem has been over the years teachers getting their confirmation, their back pay, reassessment, reclassification, so I’m hoping that this year, the 400 plus teachers that are owed about $3 million are paid in this fiscal period,” said Wilson, following the Department of Education’s 2018 National Public Schools Administrator’s Conclave. https://thenassauguardian.com/2018/08/21/but-feels-disrespected-by-govt/
