NASSAU, Bahamas, October 7, 2022 (BIS) — The Chinese Embassy, through the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities, presented Samsung Tablets and Keyboard Cases to students with disabilities at the Chinese Embassy, October 6, 2022

Her Excellency Dai Qingli, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, made the donation as a result of discussions with executive members of the National Commission of Persons with Disabilities (NCPD).

The Chinese Ambassador said it is hoped that the presentation could be the beginning of a long friendship and cooperation between the Embassy and the Commission.

Nalini Bethel, NCPD chairperson, said the donation comes at an appropriate time as the commission is observing October as Disability Awareness Month.
