NASSAU, Bahamas, Sept. 7, 2023 — Ricardo P. Deveaux, Deputy Permanent Secretary at The Ministry of Education and Technical and Vocational Training, posted this on Facebook on Thursday, September 7, 2023, with the following narrative:

Dr. Calvin Brown – Associate Provost and Chief of Staff for Academic Affairs, and Marshall Taggart, Jr., Associate Vice-President of Governmental Affairs and Institutional Advancement at Clark Atlanta University, paid a courtesy call on Minister of Education and Technical and Vocational Training, the Hon. Glenys Hanna Martin and members of the MOETVT executive team during a meeting at the Ministry on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
Dr. Brown noted that many Bahamians attended Clark Atlanta University and are currently making a contribution to The Bahamas. He also noted that many of the University’s programs could benefit Bahamian students and expressed his interest in a partnership with the MOETVT to provide opportunities for Bahamian students.
Minister Hanna-Martin thanked Clark Atlanta University for expressing an interest in providing support for deserving Bahamians to obtain a tertiary education.
Clark Atlanta University is a private Methodist, historically Black research university in Atlanta, Georgia.
