FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, Dec. 17, 2022 — When the Ministry for Grand Bahama was reestablished in September 2021, it was given an imperative mandate: to partner with government agencies, NGOs, businesses, non-profits, civil society and the community-at-large to address the basic needs of residents.
Today, dignitaries, led by the Hon. Philip “Brave” Davis, K.C., gathered on the island of Grand Bahama to officially open the doors to “Collab: Partnerships for Development”, the execution powerhouse of this Ministry’s newest appointed responsibility.
The kickoff event highlighted the FIRST OF MANY initiatives launched on the shoulders of COLLAB, #BeautifulGrandBahama and the transformational impact it has made on lives, communities, and the island of Grand Bahama at large.
“Collab: Partnerships for Development” will bring ALL bodies together, under one common goal: ‘working to greater, together’. Tripp Circle, features eight transitional homes, restored by ‘Beautiful Grand Bahama’ teams, and the staple of partnerships, ‘Collab’s’ resource center.
The grand event concluded with celebratory news for participants of “Beautiful Grand Bahama” that the impact of this program will continue throughout the island and an exciting ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opening “COLLAB: Partnerships for Development”.
