FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, July 20, 2022 –In a post on Facebook, the Ministry of Grand Bahama urged Grand Bahamians to “mark your calendars” regarding a series of upcoming “community awareness sessions” scheduled for later this month.
Carnival Cruise Line and Carnival Corporation Executives will host “a series of Business Community Meetings on the island of Grand Bahama regarding its Cruise Port Project which is currently under construction on the Eastern End of the island,” the Ministry noted.
“The two-day sessions are slated to begin on Thursday July 28th, 2022, at 6 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at the Grand Lucayan Hotel and will feature presentations to inform the Grand Bahama business community on the Carnival project,” the Ministry added. “The event will also serve as an open forum for questions and answers, and a series of breakout sessions to provide local businesses with further details on the cruise port’s construction.”
While bringing remarks at the ground-breaking of the Carnival Cruise project in May, Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Ginger M. Moxey, noted that the project
“signified the Davis/Cooper Administration’s commitment to collaborate with local and international partners for the betterment and advancement of the island of Grand Bahama and The Bahamas at large.’
“Carnival Cruise Line invites the business community on the island of Grand Bahama to register and attend these informative meetings,” the Ministry added.
