🌟 CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE IN ACADEMICS 🌟
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR OUTSTANDING STUDENT OF THE YEAR NOMINEES

The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation proudly celebrates the exceptional achievements of its nominees who participated in the 2026 National Spelling Bee Competition, held on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

We are especially proud to recognize that four (4) current Student of the Year nominees and six (6) distinguished former nominees competed at this prestigious national event, demonstrating remarkable intellect, discipline, and poise under pressure.

After hours of intense and inspiring competition, we extend heartfelt congratulations to two of our current nominees who rose to the very top:

🏆 2026 National Spelling Bee Champion
Caerwyn Turnquest
(Student of the Year Nominee – King’s College School / Associates Schools District)

🥉 2nd Runner-Up – 2026 National Spelling Bee
Cordesia Pierre
(Student of the Year Nominee – Wellington Preparatory School / Eleuthera District)

These outstanding students have exemplified the very qualities our Foundation seeks to recognize—academic excellence, perseverance, confidence, and leadership.

As National Champion, Caerwyn Turnquest will go on to represent The Bahamas at the prestigious Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. this May. This is a remarkable accomplishment, and we are confident that Caerwyn will represent our nation with distinction on the international stage.

We also applaud all of our current and former nominees who competed. Your dedication, courage, and performance brought pride not only to your schools and districts, but also to the entire Foundation family.

You have truly made us proud.

Your achievements continue to inspire excellence and reaffirm that the future of The Bahamas is in capable and brilliant hands.
