NASSAU, Bahamas — During her courtesy call on officials at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Nassau on Thursday, October 10, 2019, United States Congresswoman Maxine Waters took this classic photo with veteran Bahamian journalist Lindsay Thompson, Public Information Officer at NEMA.
Lindsay was one of my top reporters when I was Editor of the Nassau Guardian (1998 – 2002); however, she subsequently left the Guardian for a position at Bahamas Information Services (BIS), where essentially she is still employed.
Lindsay is an excellent writer and I am sharing this photo to publicly state how much I appreciated her admirable work ethic and professionalism during my tenure as Editor of the Guardian.
