CONGRESSWOMAN WATERS ENJOYING VISIT TO THE BAHAMAS

NASSAU, Bahamas — Congresswoman Maxine Waters, incoming Chairperson of  U.S. House of Representatives Financial Services Committee, is pictured with reporter Morgan Adderley of The Nassau Tribune at the annual Boxing Day Junkanoo Parade in downtown Nassau on Wednesday morning, December 26.

Congresswoman Waters and her husband Sidney Williams, who was U.S. Ambassador to The Bahamas from 1994 – 1998, are spending the Christmas holidays in Nassau as house guests of Sir Franklyn Wilson and Lady Sharon Wilson, former President of The Bahamas Senate, with whom they have been close friends since Mr. Williams’ tenure as America’s top diplomatic envoy to The Bahamas.

The Tribune quoted Congresswoman Waters as saying, “I’m always very, very happy to be here. I love the culture, I love the music, I love the people”.

Reporter Morgan Adderley was a 2007 Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation finalist, who went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude in 2017 from Northeastern University in Evanston, Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Minors in Political Science and English.
