CONSUL GENERAL ADDERLEY MEETS WITH RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE OF EXPORT-IMPORT BANK OF INDIA

WASHINGTON, D.C., – The Hon. Patrick Adderley, Bahamas Consul General to Washington, D.C., and Consul Alarice Grant on Wednesday June 12, 2024, met with Mr. Ravindra Mehru, Resident Representative of the Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) office in Washington, D.C., whose jurisdiction includes North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.

The discussion focused on Exim Bank’s various financial products and service offerings such as overseas investment finance, project exports, lines of credit, research and analysis, and export advisory services. Exim Bank has funded projects in the Caribbean including extending lines of credit to governments for infrastructural development, capacity building and sourcing of capital goods equipment and machinery. Both sides highlighted potential partnerships and collaborations in areas of mutual interest, including tourism, health, and renewable energy.
