DIRECTOR OF LABOUR SATISFIED WITH NUMBER OF BAHAMIANS AT THE POINTE

NASSAU, Bahamas — Following complaints by the Bahamian Contractors’ Association (BCA), Director of Labour John Pinder said he personally visited The Pointe on Monday and is satisfied that the complement of Bahamian workers there is in keeping with its heads of agreement (HOA) with the government, and said Bahamas Power and Light (BPL) may be the reason more Bahamians are not working on the project.

“I’m satisfied that based on some things they pointed out to us, I did an inspection of the area and the point that protrudes out into the water, that area there, only Bahamians are working on that,” Pinder said in an interview with Guardian Business yesterday. https://thenassauguardian.com/2018/09/05/director-of-labor-satisfied-with-number-of-bahamians-at-the-pointe/
