DPM AND MINISTER OF FINANCE TURNQUEST AND DELEGATION  IN D.C. FOR  IDB MEETING

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Hon. K. Peter Turnquest, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and members of his delegation were greeted at Washington Reagan National Airport on Sunday, February 10, 2019, by His Excellency Sidney Collie,  Bahamas Ambassador to The United States and Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS), on their arrival to participate in the 8th Annual Caribbean Governors’ Meeting of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) February 11 – 12,  2019  at IDB Headquarters in downtown D.C. The two-day meeting of IDB’s Caribbean Governors — finance and planning ministers of the institution’s English-speaking Caribbean member states – is being held under the theme, “Exponential for Resilience,” focusing on “how the region can embrace development solutions that push the boundaries of what is considered possible.,” according the IDB website.
