DPM AND MINISTER OF FINANCE TURNQUEST SAYS “THANK YOU” TO ROTARY CLUBS OF GRAND BAHAMA

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, November 3, 2019 – As the Rotary Clubs on Grand Bahama continue to demonstrate their unyielding commitment to Rotary International’s motto, “Service Above Self,” Bahamas Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance K. Peter Turnquest is featured in this  video thanking them for their altruistic efforts in response to the devastation caused to Grand Bahama and Abaco, two northern Bahamian islands, the first week of September.

Pictured with DPM Turnquest, a long-time Rotarian who is a Past-President of the Rotary Club of Lucaya, are Lisbeth Maigaard Knowles, Rotary Area Governor, Grand Bahama, and  James Sarles, Past President, Rotary Club of Grand Bahama Sunrise.

The occasion was a trip to Freetown in East Grand Bahama, which is represented in the House of Assembly by DPM Turnquest, to deliver roofing materials donated by the Rotary Clubs of Grand Bahama on Friday, November 1.

Ray Williams, Governor of Rotary District 6990, and Tom Powers, Rotary Area Governor for Fort Lauderdale, Florida, were also in the Rotary group that delivered the materials, which were purchased from Gold Rock, a building supplies facility in Freeport. https://www.facebook.com/jamessarlesrealty/videos/600569710482747/
