DPM COOPER INTRODUCES NEW GAMING BOARD

NASSAU, Bahamas, January 13, 2022: Deputy Prime Minister Chester Cooper, who is also Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation, today introduced the new Board of Directors at the Gaming Board.

Chairman of the Board is Dr. Danny Johnson, a former PLP MP for the Carmichael constituency and Minister of Youth Sports and Culture in the previous PLP government.

Other members include Ian Tynes, Secretary; Kevin Stuart, Deputy Chairman; Karen Thompson- Passard and Ryan Brown.

According to its Mission Statement gleaned from Internet: “The Mission of the Gaming Board of The Bahamas is to protect the integrity of the Gaming Industry by keeping it free from the influences of organized crime; by assuring the honesty, good character and integrity of all licensed operators and employees; and to ensure that Gaming is conducted fairly and in accordance with the provisions of the Gaming Act (2014), the Gaming Regulations (2014), the Gaming House Operator Regulations (2014) and the Gaming Rules (2015).”
