WASHINGTON, D.C., February 26, 2024. —I absolutely had to share this collection of photos posted on Facebook today by Deputy Prime Minister Chester Cooper that were taken during his presentation of his recently published book to my mentor Sir Arthur A. Foulkes with readers of my Washington, D.C. – based online publication, BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.
DPM Cooper posted these photos with the following narrative:
It was a great honor to present my memoir, “Fishinin’ on the Rocks,” to Sir Arthur Foulkes, who is just a fantastic human being. I was humbled to share a piece of my life’s journey with a man whose contributions to our nation are immeasurable.
Sir Arthur’s legacy as a journalist, politician, Governor General, former Minister of Tourism, and signatory to The Bahamas Constitution has paved the way for generations of Bahamians to follow in his footsteps of service, integrity, and leadership.
It is my sincere hope that within the pages of this book you find echoes of the shared values and enduring spirit that continue to shape The Bahamas.
Thank you for your unwavering dedication to our nation.
