DURING VISIT TO BOSTON, AMBASSADOR JONES MEETS WITH PRINCIPALS OF ONE OF THE WORLD’S LEADING PRIVATE INVESTMEN FIRMS

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 29, 2023 — While in Boston, Massachusetts, on Monday, April 27, His Excellency Wendall Jones, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States, met with a number of personalities from the financial sector and used the opportunity to discuss the focus of the Bahamian government on climate change and the legislation to sell carbon credits in The Bahamas.

Included among those Ambassador Jones met with were David Gross-Loh and Chris Gordon, partners in BainCapital, one of the largest financial houses in Boston. BainCapital, LP is one of the world’s leading private investment firms with approximately $160 billion of assets under management. It specializes in private equity, venture capital, credit, public equity, impact investing, life sciences, and real estate.

Bain Capital invests across a range of industry sectors and geographic regions. The firm was founded in 1984 by partners from the consulting firm Bain & Company, headquartered at 200 Clarendon Street in Boston with 22 offices in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Ambassador Jones was among a group accredited envoys from around the world who participated in the Experience America Boston visit on Monday organized by the U.S State Department.

They were greeted Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, who made history in November of 2021 when she became the first woman and first person of color to be elected mayor of Boston.
