FAMILY MEMBERS AT THE REPAST FOLLOWING THE FUNERAL OF AUNT MARIA ELLIOTT FORBES

MIAMI, Florida, September 9, 2019 – I am currently at the airport in Miami awaiting my flight back to Washington, D.C., after attending the funeral of aunt Maria Elliott-Forbes on Saturday, September 7. The funeral service was held at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Roman Catholic Church, Deveaux Street, Nassau, which became the parish church of our family when we moved to Nassau from Stanyard Creek, Andros, in the early 1950s. I shall be posting many more photos on my visit back home.  This photo was taken at the repast held in Our Lady’s social center, and with the exception of myself, the others are sons of my late uncle Audley Elliott. Seated from left: Bruce “King” Elliott, Alphonso “Boogaloo” Elliott, and Oswald T. Brown. Standing from left: Jerome Elliott (holding one of Boogaloo’s grandchildren) and Norbert Elliott.
