NASSAU, Bahamas — In its desperation to hold on to power, the Free Natioal Movement “continues to sink lower and lower,” Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) Chairman Fred Mitchell declared in a press statement released on Monday, June 21, 2021.
“After running campaign ads that attempted to tarnish the image of the wife of PLP Leader, Hon. Philip Brave Davis, the FNM now has yet another dirty and disturbing political ad portraying Philip Brave Davis as a gun touting person,” Mr. Mitchell said.
The PLP chairman added: “As if murders and violent gun-related crime numbers are not climbing fast enough under this uncaring and inept FNM government, this is the type of violent image this administration is paying to promote.
“THIS INTENTIONAL MALICIOUS ATTACK ON THE CHARACTER OF MR. DAVIS SMACKS OF POLITICAL DESPERATION.
“The FNM has hit a new and dangerous low. We have contacted our lawyers to address this libelous matter even as we call on Prime Minister Minnis and his lousy band of cronies to find some level of decency and do the right thing.
“It is most unfortunate that we have a desperate government trying to deflect its failures with such vicious ploys presently making the rounds on social media.
“The Bahamian people will not be fooled this time.
“Dr. Minnis and the FNM have squandered the opportunity to lead our Bahamas.
They must go.”
