“FOND AND FORMAL FAREWELL” SAID TO CHINESE AMBASSADOR

WASHINGTON, D.C., April 6, 2024 — Minister of Foreign Affairs Fred Mitchell today posted  a  collection of photos on Facebook and I absolutely had to share some of them with readers of my Washington, D.C. – based online publication, BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean. The photos were posted with the following narrative:

“We said a fond and formal farewell to the Chinese Ambassador Dai Qingli at the British Colonial.  The Prime Minister Philip Davis and Mrs Davis were there as was Foreign Minister Fred Mitchell with Parliamentary Secretary Jamahl Strachan, Director General Jerusa Ali and Health Minister Michael Halkitis, along with the Diplomatic Corps and the Honorary Consular Corps. We wish Ambassador Dai (the very best)  and hope she carries sand in her shoes. 5 April 2024.”
