WASHINGTON, D.C., June 17, 2024 — The Hon. Frederick A. Mitchell, Bahamas Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Thursday, June 13, addressed the University Club of Washington, D.C., on the relationship between CARICOM and the United States. Minister Mitchell’s remarks centered on development, areas of mutual interest, security concerns, and continued collaboration.

Moderated by University Club President Doug Bonner, the event was attended by members of the University Club and invited guests

Also In attendance were Ms. Barbara Feinstein, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Caribbean Affairs and Haiti Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs; His Excellency Wendall Jones, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States; His Excellency Chet Neymour; Bahamas Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Organization of American State (OAS); His Excellency Gilbert Morris; Bahamas Ambassador-at-Large; and the Hon. Patrick Adderley, Bahamas Consul General to Washington, D.C.

On its website, the University Club of D.C. notes that it was voted one of the Top Twenty Distinguished City Clubs in America.
